Local Author Book Signing

In addition to all the amazing beauty and culture we know and love, the Gig Harbor and the Key Peninsula are also fortunate to have many talented authors who call this area home.  Congratulations to KK Hale, a transplant from Seattle but now a local resident, who has just had her first novel published; Rory McBreen Video Wars: Vietnam.

Please join KK Hale on May 5th at MostlyBooks, located in Gig Harbor at 3126 Harborview Drive, from 11AM to 1PM to autograph and chat about her first book in a planned series about a kid who loves his video games more than anything – or anyone – in the whole world.

The story begins as Rory has an entire day planned out playing vids as usual, and forgetting he is part of the real world.  He prefers the world inside his video games.  All his friends are there, and things make sense.  He doesn’t have to do anything but perform his duties so his teams can win.  Today something different happens.  Rory is still on the team, but now he’s on the inside, fighting with his team with bullets whizzing by his ears.  But being with them side-by-side isn’t as fun as he had always imagined.  In fact, it could be deadly.

What happens to a real kid inside a video game of programmed characters who are programmed to fight in a war?  Rory is about to find out.

Rory McBreen Video Wars: Vietnam is available on Amazon.com
