This weekend brings about the highly anticipated (at least for me) event of ‘Spring Ahead’ where most US states and many countries will turn their clocks ahead one hour for Daylight Saving Time. Aside from the loss of an hour of peaceful slumber this Sunday morning, the time shift tends to lighten the mood of many as we struggle to remember just where we last saw our sunglasses and wonder if there’s an expiration date on last year’s sunscreen. The coming of longer days with warmer, brighter skies beckon us outdoors and enliven us with a new zest for spring. Although DST has been around for many years, there are some little known facts that may still surprise you. DST and the coming of Spring also improves the Real Estate Market in the Northwest. The number of Buyers and Sellers begin to increase as plans are made for summer relocations. With the positive housing news and overall improved consumer confidence, coupled with the lowest affordability and interest rates we have ever seen, 2012 is poised to be a strong year in real estate.
